The Grand Prix Race Series includes the local races in Murfreesboro and surrounding areas.  The Murfreesboro Pacers members will vie for top prizes as they race in each of these events.  The events include:

Fenton Payne and Fred 5k (August 14th)

The Run Chikin Run 10k is presented by Chick-Fil-A of Murfreesboro and Sponsored by Fleet Feet of Murfreesboro. The course starts and finishes at the Murfreesboro Gateway. It is an out and back course with a loop which rounds the historic Stones River Battlefield. The course is primarily flat with one short climb located on the scenic Battlefield loop.

This 5K features a USATF Certified Course that is flat and very fast.

Awards will be given out to top overall male and female, masters and grandmasters, plus top 3 in each age group, from 10 & under to 80+. Door prizes and post race amenities.

T-shirts guaranteed to all pre-registered.

Come support education and have fun at the same time! The 2^nd Annual Blaze 5K will be held on Saturday, September 25^th at Blackman High School in Murfreesboro, TN. The course is flat and runs mostly through residential areas. Check-in will begin at 7:00 am and the run will begin at 8:00 am. Prizes with go to the top three in male and the top three in female. There will also be many “door prizes”. Registration is $20.00 and includes a t-shirt as well as lots of goodies. The first 150 registered participants will be guaranteed a back pack provided by Murfreesboro Medical Clinic. Proceeds are being raised to cover Business Academy students’ costs for travel expenses in order to attend competitions. Named Murfreesboro’s “Favorite Annual Event” in 2009 by The Daily News Journal, “The Middle Half” is anticipated by runners and fans alike. In just 4 years, the race has doubled in size to become one of the top half marathons in Tennessee, winning the Tennessee Parks & Recreation Four Star Program Award in 2008. With the flat, fast course, it’s no wonder that several state road running records have been broken here. The 13.1 mile course has you running up and down tree-lined Main Street, past historic Oaklands Mansion, and circling the Downtown Square. After passing Middle Tennessee State University’s Fraternity Row and the official geographic center of Tennessee, finish in style on the track inside MTSU’s Track and Soccer Stadium.

Registration begins May 1, 2010 and is limited to 2,250 athletes in the half marathon, and 250 children in the Kids Fun Run.
